The North Habour News reports:
Photojournalist Neville Marriner enthralled the Hibiscus Coast Photography Club with tales of his adventuresome life. He’s taken photos of the Queen, Princess Margaret, Paul McCartney and Margaret Thatcher to name a few. Neville spoke about his career and experiences, including those in war zones, before giving advice on cameras at the packed March 16 meeting.
He has worked in Fleet Street with prominent newspapers and now works in Auckland with the NZ Listener as a picture researcher. full report here: www.stuff.co.nz

UPDATE 6 April 2011: Hello Will
Stumbled on to this site from a link sent to me by someone who had seen the article on the Stuff website.
Just to fill you in I was at Sport and General from 1974 till 76 then freelance mostly at the Sunday Express and the Daily Mail till I joined the Mail as a staffer in 78 where I stayed for 18 years till leaving for New Zealand in 1996.
After a spell at the NZ Herald I joined the Sunday Star Times as the Pic Ed till 2009 and I am now Group Pic Ed for NZ Magazines.
I am pleased to see the work that is going on with the history of Photography in Fleet Street and look forward to the results.
Best Wishes
Neville
